We both always wanted to work at our passion helping others and RiverRidge Retreat has now provided this opportunity for us. We are both very genuine people and have a great working relationship which is guided by our core values of respect , hard work , communication , integrity and fun. Our major goal is to allow for your event to be the best event ever for you. You are the person, to us, who is the most important person at RiverRidge, for the time that you are with us!. We will make certain that we do everything in our power, both before, during, and after your special event, to make certain it is perfect for you. The famous Catlins River Music festival is held here bi annually and the Catlins Woodstock Music festival has been an annual event for 25 years now. RiverRidge Retreat provides for the best quality accommodation and function venue in the Catlins area. Getting here is easy! The Catlins is a major highlight and destination a hidden gem on the East coast of the South Island, New Zealand.
From magnificent coastal cliffs and headlands, long white beaches, coves and sandy bays to beautiful native rainforests , waterfalls , river valleys , hidden lakes , and rolling farmland , the Catlins is a fascinating, unspoilt, scenic, rugged place off the beaten track , with so much to see!. You may also be fortunate enough to observe Yellow eyed penguins from the viewing hides provided. The Catlins is also home to the New Zealand Sea lion, Fur seal and the Hector’s dolphin. The food was great, the outlook was great and the place I stayed overnight, at the lodge was fantastic!.
